Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived in the country on Monday for a two-day state visit to assess the progress of bio-diesel projects.
The Prince will tour jatropha farms in Kitui to see how provision of a cheap source of green energy is empowering rural communities.
He will be hosted by Green Africa Foundation, an NGO, which has partnered with his Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation to fund the establishment of bio-energy pilot projects in the country.
According to Mr Isaac Kalua, the founder of Green Africa Foundation, the Prince will fly in from South Africa where he attended the 2010 World Cup opening ceremony, and he will call on President Kibaki at State House Nairobi.
