SceptreGroup – National Ethical Investment Week 7-13 November 2010

National Ethical Investment Week (NEIW) taking place from 7-13 November aims to ensure everyone knows that they have green and ethical options when it comes to their investments.

Green and ethical investments allow you to have a positive impact on the environment and society, while still making as good a return as with other investments.

neiw-logoNEIW brings together Advisers, Charities and Trusts, Financial Organisations, Faith Groups, NGOS and Community Groups to raise awareness of green and ethical investing.

The Co-operative Financial Services and Ecclesiastical Investment Management are the sponsors of NEIW 2010.

In 2009

    * Over 250 financial advisers got involved with NEIW
    * 64 organisations became supporters of NEIW
    * Supporters organised 33 events in 16 towns and cities across the UK
    * Research found that half of people would like to ‘make money and make a difference’

National Ethical Investment Week is co-ordinated by UK Sustainable Investment and Finance – UKSIF, and assisted by an Advisory Board.

UKSIF’s more than 200 members include financial advisers, asset managers, charities, banks, research providers, pension funds, and other non-governmental organisations.

UKSIF promotes socially responsible investment and other forms of finance that support sustainable economic development, enhance quality of life and safeguard the environment. We also seek to ensure that individual and institutional investors can reflect their values in their investments.

Sceptre Group is a member of the UK Sustainable Investment & Finance Association.
