MALAYSIA – Premium Renewable Energy (Malaysia) is to set up a costing US$40 million biofuel plant near Lahad Datu, Sabah.
The company is also considering building another 14 plants by 2015, according to a report in The Star.
The report says that Premium Malaysia expects to start work on the plant in the second quarter of 2011 and expects it to be fully operational by the second quarter of 2012.
The company is hoping to achieve a revenue of $200 million from a total of 15 plants by 2015.
Premium Malaysia is joining forces with Canadian company Ensyn Technologies to provide the Rapid Thermal Process technology to convert palm oil biomass into pyrolysis oil also known as bio-oil for green renewable power generation including biodiesel and jet fuel.
